LOST MY JOB

Well today my job went. I had been off sick with back problems since the beginning of the year and it has taken has taken until just 3 wks ago to get me to be able to have physio (and that is with a lot of pushing on behalf of my Dr to rush things through). I have had just 3 sessions & work reckon I have now had long enough & have ended my contract. Im totally gutted, I thought I was working for a good, fair company, who would have given time for the physio to start working. Three sessions is NOT long enough but because I can't get a specific return to work date from my Dr, thats it, finished.
Im so upset.

  1. Oh Caro I'm so sorry to hear that - especially when you've just started your physio - is there any way you can appeal their decision? It seems very unfair that they can end your contract just like that. People can go on maternity leave for longer than that and still have a job to go back to.

I hope you have people looking after you.

    Best wishes

  2. I'm so sorry to hear that sweetie and to be honest I thought firms were meant to have round the table discussions about these sort of issues now under the Health & Satety directive and to help their staff get back to work. I'd look into it babes if I was you.
    Take care

  6. Oh Caro sorry to hear this - it is really rotton I know - had a similar experience some years ago myself - had to have my thyroid removed and as it took the docs so long to get my thyroxine levels right, and I was off work for 3 months, and although I kept sending drs reports to work they reduced my hours to part-time and then offered me redundancy!!! but please remember - as one door closes......... another one opens, have faith and stay focused!!! hey........ just think of all the crafting you can be doing while you are getting better and waiting for that next job - Take heart - chin up and good luck - Carol xxx

  7. Awh what an awful thing to happen, It must be sickening.

But like Carol above I totally agree have faith there is always a reason for things to happen even if we can't see it at the time.

I became disabled two years ago now and am unable to work. But it gave me more time to craft! and I made lots of friends and I even got a job! I am a Stampin Up demonstrator (only recently)I meet lots of people who enjoy the same things as me and I take it totally at my own pace (because of my disability)

Thats what happened for me who would of thought at less that forty I was for the scrap heap and unable to work again! This may not be the answer for you but it is wonderful for me. it gives me something to do and craft for lol

Love and best wishes Dawn xx
